Tours will be provided all day and the artist will host a reception/meet and greet from 6:00PM on.

Donnie Toomer's work explores the terse line between self identity and self expression and calls into account the myriad myster...ies and personas one encounters in their, ordinarily, mundane lives. It strives to bring introspection to the fore and turn it into perception. To amalgamate memory and the present into one definitive and cohesive thought.
Beginning as stream of consciousness line drawings, both immediate and whimsical, these creations evolve slowly, through many translucent layers, into well defined caricatures with looming frames. Brooding and totem-like, they evince the many layers of time and memory.
