Come one, come all!

Lord Baron Vorteque of Steampunk Chicago is coming back, and this time he's bringing a friend: Unwoman from San Fransisco. Please come out to the Trundle Manor and enjoy an evening of amazing music, good people, and an entire wardrobe of curiosities (a mere cabinet couldn't hold them all).

They are promoting Unwoman's newest album, The Fires I Started, and DJ Vorteque's new EP, The Swing Mechanical.

This is an all-ages event. $8 cover charge. There will be a small open bar for those of drinking age, and you are free to bring drinks for yourself or to share. Donations to the Trundle Manor, be they monetary or in the form of oddities to add to the collection, are highly encouraged.

You may never get another chance to see a show like this!

About Unwoman :

Unwoman (aka Erica Mulkey) is a San Francisco-based cellist-singer-songwriter. Layered with skillful cello, rich vocals, and electronically arranged beats, her solo music is a futuristic homage to her classical training. Unwoman performs often in the Bay Area and has been featured at major steampunk, goth, and sci-fi-related events all over North America. She has collaborated with Abney Park, Stripmall Architecture, Voltaire, Rasputina, Jill Tracy, Vernian Process, Caustic, and Attrition. She's been hailed by the likes of Amanda Palmer and Warren Ellis. With her new album, The Fires I Started, Unwoman takes her musical and production abilities to a new level, richly layering sounds and lyrics over a tapestry of sweeping electronic production.

About Vourteque

Vourteque is a Chicago based DJ, producer, and event promoter with a decade and a half experience. He's known for his iconoclastic take on dance music, mixing a variety of genres while keeping the beat constantly going. He's done remix work for a wide variety of people from Lady Gaga (under the name Joe Vor-Tech) to The Clockwork Dolls. He's also one of the main members behind Steampunk Chicago, a collective responsible for some of the largest circus-punk and steampunk events in the Midwest. As a DJ he's been hailed for his out of the box approach to dance music, taking sounds from yesterday and mixing them with the beats of today, Jeff Mach of Steampunk New York called him a "pioneer in steampunk dance music" and Vourteque stands by that today. With his first original release, The Swing Mechanical, Vourteque deftly fuses contemporary dance genres like house, techno and electro with the sounds and styles of swing, blues and jazz for a heavy yet high energy sound unlike any other.
